Wow, an actual RS! Whatever. And look, it has the 'special ordered' five-speed -and I wouldn't mind one of those 170HP 3.1s...
But, the price is good, and the car IS a five-speed, BS, er, I mean, "RS" or otherwise... Nice GT rims too...
http://skagit.craigslist.org/cto/4811485085.html 1990 chev Beretta RS - $800
1990 Chevrolet Beretta 3.1 V6 5-speed. Good clutch about 70% tires are about 98%.. Not typo.. They have about 2000 miles on them.
The good
the car runs and drives.
has good body with one little Dent on driver side fender
The bad..
the car needs some wiring done and some little things put back together.the ignition part is hanging down.the headliner is also hanging down.this is my fourth project in line. I have 3 other cars in front of it before I start working on it.the price will go up to about $1600 when I'm done with it.it just needs to be put back together. on a 1 to 5 scale of difficulty. I give it a 2.
also, as a side note. I was on Wikipedia and I found out that this car had to be custom ordered with a 5 speed transmission with the 3.1 In it. also it says it has about 160 to 170 horsepower and as of 1990 it was the fastest front wheel drive car, In the solom, and 0-60 was 7.1 sec... that's not too bad. its supposed top speed is 138-142mph. I guess this car can be a little rocket.
I am (temporarily) off the market for another Beretta, but if this one has the rare black interior in good shape, it would be really tempting to me. Oh well, not for me right now. Any takers?
