Custom downpipes with corrrect flange for 3400 swap on Z26

Post by timgerman »

Is there anyone making and selling custom downpipes with correct flange for a 3400 swap on a Z26?

Please PM me.

Thanks,
tim

Go get a Grand Am downpipe from the JY and cut the flange off it then have a muffler shop bend a pipe to clear the firewall. Problem solved.

My local muffler shop had a grand am flange. I drove my car open manifolds to the muffler shop (about 5mins from my house) $65 later they made a custom 2.5" downpipe. No problems at all.

Ask around at your local muffler shops, you might get lucky.

My local muffler place bent one for me as well. I supplied the flange though, certainly would have been easier if they had one.

Still around, just not looking to pull a DP off and make a fixture unless I get a few orders together. If someone that wanted one lived close, I would use their car as a mock up so I didn't have to pull Kelly's.

Glad to hear that your still around! So do you need a down pipe? I may be able to get one this winter and a flange or two. I could still use a down pipe for a 3100 if there is ever an order list for those.

on a side note: I could use 2 of these (for each of my Z26's).

3100 DP's are all fixtured. All I need is a flange. I usually keep an eye out for them at the JY but I'm currently out. I will likely be going to the JY in 2 weeks and I will look again. Is anyone in the Twin Cities area that needs a DP for a 3400?

Just checking, always like to help out if I can. After all you are the only one here making these.

I should have made a jig from mine before sending it to shawn but I didn't... whoops. I don't have bending tools at my disposal though so I know Dusty's would come out better.

I could chop mine off the Z26 and get it to you some day Dusty. Just not sure when that would be as its my beater with a heater. Ive already taken photos of it installed to show firewall and sway bar distances.

I have Jons and haven't installed it yet due to the delays Tyler did.. if anybody wants to pay the shipping I can ship it for someone to make a jig..
