I've updated my exhaust yet again.  This will be about the 3rd time.  The side pipe was just too loud. 2.5" from the cat back; 2.5" catco -> dynomax thrush magnum glasspack back to a flowmaster 40 series.

EDIT: I'm sure a lot of you guys will appreciate this.  You can actually hear what it sounds like!: Click for Sound Clips

The question is good, but I wonder if it would be more informative if there was a way to show what engine you have your muffler attached to.  Something that sounds good for a 3.1 isn't going to sound good on a HO Q4.  It doesn't seem like too many people have found a good sounding combination for the HO Q4.

I don't have an exhaust on my 1981 Ford Crown Victoria LTD. I just have two 3" pipes from the manifold and it comes out the side by the doors. It is really loud and i love it! I think i am going to get 2 chrome tips and put them on for a nice finish! Did i mention that it is a dirt race car. :cool Oh and as goes for the beretta i have the stock exhaust but it is still pretty loud. Anyone selling anything for cheap that would make it even louder like a magnaflow or someing of that sort please tell me. I have an 89 GT with a 3.1 but i can get a hold of a guy that is selling a 92 GTZ with a quad 4 5 speed with 150,000 km for $3000 canadian. My dad has dual's with 2 cherrybombs on his 1984 dodge truck and it is the loundest vehicle in the neighbourhood. It also shoots smoke rings in the winter becasue of the way the exhaust is bent.

I'd**  go with stainless, chrome will only pit if not kept clean and polished every week just about.  You still have to clean the stainless one, but not as much if it's good stainless steel.

I've got a Power 1  performance muffler, stock cat and pipe. I'll be getting 2.5 in pipe from the Y-pipe back and dual mufflers (i need to buy the other one still) as soon as i get $80 for my guy in shelby, ohio to do the bending and welding.

Quote (SorcererZ @ Sep. 13 2002,20:49)I've stole Geoff's idea ! ... before winter i'll be running the BORLA BULLET with dual tips

W00t  go BORLA!
I stole Geoff's actual muffler, right off his car. I already voted for my Dynomax on the GTZ so I can't put in the new car's rumble.

Sounds awesome. I need some new 2.25 pipe some time, I'm just waiting for it to rust through. Shouldn't be too long.
