original gtz rims

hello
who is the maker of the original GTZ rims?
chevrolet or some other brand?
I need that to know because of the inspections of my GT... a long story... :D

For what? You have to be joking. I know what you do, they came that way off the assembly line. If they push tell them Alcoa(just a wild guess). Really it could have been who Alcoa bought out a few years ago.

Ok I did a quick search and found the company. It is called Superior Industries International, Inc.

Wow they had a plant in my state and in a town I've been to!

My extra Z26 wheel is a bit dirty, but I didn't see any casting codes or anything that would tell you who made it.

If you can, read the text in the link. It said that they made wheels for GM, Ford and Chrysler in the 1990's.
I did a Google search for "aluminum wheel manufactures in North America in 1990".

Hold up. I thought you had steel wheels with the cross lace covers. Here in the USA the GT wheels were aluminum(I know this because I had a 90GT). I have no idea who made the steel wheels.

Oops never mind. That was another member. I don't know why, but I was thinking you had a black car too.
