Anyone have a tried & true way of safely cleaning spray paing off Z26 wheels? Would Lacquer thinner damage the protective coating?

It may I'm not for sure. I worked at this place that made a hand wipe called "scrubs", they would take paint off your hands. I'm talking about paint and road grit that has been on all day. Most other hand wipes set up for that will do it, but not as good. I'd try something like that first, they are less harsh. Sometimes a good mag wheel cleaner will do it.

Were they green? I've got some here that do the same, and they work great... I use them after going to the junkyard.

I think those might be worth a shot for getting the paint off the rims. If it's spray paint, mineral spirits could also work, but you have to be careful.

Those ones are blue.  The name is actually Scrubs in a bucket.

Yea, that's them Cliff. I didn't work there too long, but they gave me two boxes of the big buckets and a few small ones.
