Hello,
Whats the best off the shelf cleaner for the GTZ factory white rims ?
I made the mistake of spraying engine cleaner on them at the car wash when they were hot.    it soften the paint and ground in the dirt when I used the bush.

I couldnt find anything that would fix it. Re-spraying the same engine cleaner on the cold rims and cleaning with a new rag finally fixed it.

I need something a little bit milder but dose the same cleaning job.

SuperClean Wheel Cleaner by Castrol does a great job.  I haven't found anything that compares.

If you haven't ruined them....   Car wax usually does a great job.  After you clean them with soap and water, wax them.  Mine will get very white this way.

I friend of mine told me to use Westley`s  Bleche-Wite tire cleaner on my rims. HOLLY COW ! the stuff works great and its cheap too. He said just dont leave it on to long..

I agree with Rex. Wax cleans them nicely and makes it easier to clean them in the future. I have found the brake dust doesn't stick to them quite as bad either. It's really personal preference

I use Spray 9... My dad has used it on tires all his life.  It is amazing...

I will wash my car, tires, the whole thing I like to get as much brake dust off with soap and water and I scrub it down good...

Then go back to the wheels that were scrubbed and spray some spray 9 on them and when Spray 9 hits the wheels, tires, you see it running down and carrying all this dirt, grime, brake dust with it that soap and water could not get.

I usually spend about 2 minutes on a tire/wheel and this is the results with Spray 9... This is about a 3 year old tire on the front at the time too...

I use it on my crosslaced wheels, which at best are a holy PITA to keep clean.
Stuff is unbelievable. Just spray it on "COLD" wheels and rinse it off.
