17x8" w/ 35mm+ offset & 5.877 BS will fit correct?

Post by Camorsica »

From perusing a couple threads it seems like the rim specced as above would fit, can somebody verify that for me please?
Also, if so, should I run that size front and rear, or would 47mm+ offset, and 6.350 BS be better on the rear?
Lastly, slightly off topic, but just wanted to say hi to 3X00-Modified, I recognize you from over on 60degreev6, I go by 2.8/3400 1985 Camaro over there.

Your going to be really tight on the 8" width... stock width is only 7 and with a 225 tire your close to the perch, the 35mm offset may save you up front and make it fit, but if you do bottom out your tires will probably hit the fenders... For the rear I don't know on that one... I know my 35mm offset 7" wide rims rubbed the fenders with 225 tires so I can only imagine those would too, but I can't remember how much clearance they had on the inside of things.

Then again I'm quoting Beretta Fitment, I'm not sure how much the wheel well's are different on the Corsica.

Hmm, well what is the min and max range for measurements that I should stay within for a 17" rim, with 225s on it, I don't mind rolling the fenders if need be, so long as it clears everything else.

As far as BS, and offset, and rim width, what range should I stay in for a 17" wheel running 225s? I don't mind rolling the fenders if needs be, if that's all it takes.

The only way to fit wide rims/tires on a Corsica is to have them come out past the fender in front and to the fender edge in the rear. With a corsica having no flare and the distance to the spring perch being an issue you really cant "tuck" a wider tire. The best way is to make sure when you hit a bump that the suspension doesn't compress so much that the tire hits the fender. Look at quad4sica's car; he has 225's.
