bead sealer

do tires shops fuss about using temporary bead sealer on tires? i want to drive on my new tires and wheels for a few days to see how they ride but 2 of them have a leak around the rim. santa claus has broke down my wallet and i dont get paid again until next week. yea i know its probably cheap to have them remounted and i could wait until next week.
but i just aint that patient......

it'll cost you $7-10 for can of sealant carp, and probably $20 for both if you take them to a shop to get the bead cleaned... they'll hate you for life if you tell them the story above.

That stuff is best left for lawn tractors and snow blowers... OR in a pinch if you get a flat and need a quick temporary fix... Other than that they make a mess of the insde of the tire and rim and the shop will hate you for it if you ask them to re-seat it after that mess.

I agree with everything said here. Hell those guys get mad when you tell them you put fix a flat in. They would be real pissed if you put that green slime in there.

I thought fix a flat was the green slime?
It worked great sealing the bead on my lawn tractor and snow blower tires, hence the two items I recommended its use on, and only I will have to deal with the rims if I need to change tires again so that's my own fault... lol

i put the new wheels and tires on just a little while ago and the weight of the car seems to have slowed or stopped the leak. it might be just my imagination.
aquatreads are some loud ass tires

LOL yes Fix a Flat is green but it's an aerosol.
I've never tried the slime.
What happened? Some one forgot to post a pic of some wheels and tires?

I find alot of times on my drift wheels that you need to over inflate them to seal the beads up. Not great for daily driving but it might help you

so glad my dad has a tire machine and i can go use it., i change tires alot lol. if your carefull find the leak using a spray bottle and soapy water, and get a big hammer and hit the side wall of the tire close to the rim without hitting it, sometimes will seal it up.
