coolant leak from heater core

Post by keiffith »

i had a weird coolant leak that came from my heater core only after a warm cool down, and it hasnt leaked again. has anyone had this happen to them?
also, who makes the poly lower engine mount bushings? i replaced my upper but now my lower is moving way too much.

also, as a side note, having my lexus has definitely made me let this car go too much, since i dont need to have it running since i dont realy drive it much.

Unless youve had your heat on recently coolant shouldnt be leaking from the core... Doesnt it bypass the core unless its in use? Maybe someone else can help more. Could be the notorious firewall water leak ? GL

Coolant is always flowing through the core. The heat is controlled by a door (flap) that moves to direct the incoming air over the core or around the core.
