Help me identify these sensors/switch... Quad4

Post by DanteGTZ »

I always forget which of these is the temperature switch and which is the temperature sender. I replaced both of these before my new engine went in. For some reason, my cooling fan isn't coming on - It does switch on when a scanner is plugged in, so I know the fan works, but...

Both of these are used on my 93 Quad4 and are threaded into my thermostat housing.

Anyway, the pic is attached.

Thanks!

Neither one of them directly controls the fan. The one with the oval 2-pin plug is the one for the ECM which turns the fan on.
