steering issue
I've got a friend with a 95 beretta 3.1 auto.hes got a problem with his steering, I've gone over the car and cant seem to find the problem maybe somebody has had this problem. When the car is idle in park if you turn the steering wheel either way it makes a clunking noise,i think its probably play in his rack and pinion but why not ask around first, the car has new ball joints, outer tie rod ends, new hub and bearing assemblies, shocks and springs, and the cv shafts are in good shape.
Thanks for any input

Could be lots of things. Rack mounts (on the fire wall), strut mounts, ball joints, etc.

nope....but its funny I just started doing the 3400 swap in my 94 and when I went to drive it in to my garage I hear a clunk in my steering as well, Im wondering could a bad alignment be the cause,Im talking real bad tires look like this /__\ camber is all screwed up,toe is way off too, this is on my car,but while Im doing my engine swap,I may as well put my new struts in and change driver side tie rod
