Car just Dies when going down the road

Post by Guest »

When i am going down the road the car just shuts off sometimes... it will restart a couple of minutes later... but then the idle sticks at 2000rpm for about ten minutes.. We put the car on a scanner and it said it needed a MAP sensor we replaced, but it still dies... Any suggestions...would be appriciated... Ps. i have a '91 GTZ with a 3.1 V6

Sounds like a TPS issue.  Ask around for more info on this issue.

I would actually say that there is probably a vaccumm issue, I would check the egr to make sure there is no flow when its doing this idling at 2000 rpm business.
