Tranny/Sensor Problem?

Post by Guest »

Maybe you guys can help me out.  I drive a 95 Beretta 3100v6 with an automatic transmission.  Once in a while the "SES" light will come on and the car will not shift into high gear on the highway.  Also it will wind out farther before it shifts into the other gears.  Sometimes when accelerating the car will cut out for a split second.  This doesn't happen all the time, but it's starting to happen more frequently than it was.  The tranny fluid should be good because it was changed about 35,000 miles ago with Redline synthetic put in it.  Could this be the transmission going bad or a solenoid?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Get the codes scanned and figure out what is kicking the SES light on.  You'd be amazed how often something small and stupid can cause the whole problem.
