update 2.2 1990  help needed

stupid shop has had my 1990 for almost one month they replaced the fuel pump and filter for an alleged high fuel pressure problem....the also replaced the map sensor.....they cannot get it to fire up ..with out hosing down the throttle body with fluid...they told me they are getting fuel and spark but it will not fire...any ideas would be appreceiated...ps i havent paid them a dime yet..and wont till they get my car back in decent running condition.....been running my f150 and the gas cost is killing me!!! i want my go cart back!

If it runs while being primed through the tb, and doesn't when not being primed their is obviously a lack of fuel going through the injectors.  Maybe the fuel pump they put in is too weak.  The pump should be roughly anywhere around 35-55psi for any of the v6's, the four banger also falls in this range(according to a GM Service manual)

only the Quads and 92-96 2.2 have pressures that high.  The 87-91 2.0/2.2 has a lower pressure of 9-13 psi.
