I need to get it replaced, I Got my car scanned and it said my MAF sensor is bad. anyone got a pic of what this looks like? Is is hard to fix? I have a 96 Z26 with the 3100. ANy help would be appreciated!

Here's a clue:  MAF stands for Mass Air Flow (sensor)

its the plastic piece with wires attached to it that is in the air tract between the air filter housing and the throttle body.

How is your car running? Does it idle erratically or stall when you let off the gas? Could this be an old code that has not been cleared?

I had a MAF that sporadically gave me a "GM/SEC high"
error code, and the car always ran fine.
I also had the same MAF go bad later on and never came up with any code. I just replaced it by chance...
