well been in this route first week i bought my beretta ..i had my valve cover gasket  redone shampooed the engine it was after that that they discover that the oil had been leaking to the sending unit that caused the car not to start after shutting off.. u see the oil acts like a connector which wont let the cat start unitil the oil drips off

What would happen when you turn the key?

As it happens, my oil pressure unit is dead.. reads 0 at all times since about  September.  it's a pain in the *** because I always have to check the oil to make sure there's some in there.

You should change it. It's a 20 dollar part and an easy repair. Why take a chance?
