transmission questions

i have a 96 chevy beretta stock converter which is 1850 4t60-e transmission what can i do to get more launch for my transmission i race circle track and at about 45 mph it maunally shifts to second any help of how i could get it to stay in first longer?

You would need to buy a tuner. These transmissions are electronically controlled for the shifts and that's the only way you can change them.

Choices are finding a used DHP unit for sale, Or get a HPTuners and swap to a 97 Monte Carlo ECU.

ok thanks do you think a 2800 stall would help ?

Any higher stall will help for sure. That you can get away with not tuning for but it will still shift the same.
