Sorry to hear the Corbretta plans didn't pan out, that woulda been a sweet car.
I had thought about trying that route (dropping the car onto a frame), but I couldn't find anything that was an exact fit, that's why I'm going the unibody with subframes route.
Well, I should say... was going.... I've been stalled out on mine for like a year now.

Come on Norm, you should've just put some HUGE flares on the fenders LOL. Oh, and that CTS looks really wierd with the wagon wheels on it. I was almost thinking of putting wagon wheels on my beretta, but I'm going with the mags instead (still need one more)

C4 stuff would have made it too heavy for my goals.
Wagon wheels are rollers. I'll use something like a Volk or SSR for around 18 lbs for an 18" tire from a BMW 3-series.
The V pictured above will get pulled and roll caged for a street legal track car.

(Norm 88GT @ Dec. 21 2007,18:22)QUOTElugnutz made me do it!
After numerous measuring angles of fitting the C5 convertible frame under, it is just too big by 4-5 inches on the width everywhere. I really wanted this to work rather than try to make something to tie in the suspension and add more weight in the process. The Beretta is just too narrow and the whole frame would have to be widen to fit. Just too much that I did not want to get into.

Oh hell no...you ain't blamin' that on me!

Norm, do you still have any C5 parts left for sale?
Namely the Front Calipers... if you happen to have F-body 98-02 front abutment brackets too, that'd be cool.

Just C5 calipers that need blasting. The boots should be good.
They are fun in the snow!
