it could be used to control a 4T65, but the actual purpose of them is for the 94-95 F-bodies with the 4L60E.

for full control of a 4t65..... i need to check if there is an open pulse accumulator and add in some code to the T-side to control line pressure in a full closed-loop fashion, rather than the open-ish 4L60E style.

Good info, I wasn't sure what trans was used on this ECU that would need that control, I know for sure the 4t60e doesn't use it.

yeah, it's kind of like the OBD2 calibrations for the 4T60E cars, the values exist and are usually even populated, just not used without an option selected.

I'll try and get a good photo of all the charts you can access with the program at some point today. Thanks for the information as well!

if i had to guess, i'd say you'll have less items in the tunercat TDF than the tunerpro XDF.... i want to say the TDF format has an item limit, or at least it did at one point in time.

Here's a photo of all the options that TunerCat shows for my '94. I have some questions, but for the sake of this thread, I'll post them in a new one.

I know I last posted on this two and a half years ago, but I have information I should have posted back when the thread was more alive.

I ended up using both TunerCat and TunerPro together. Some aspects of TunerCat are easier to work with like disabling / enabling emission controls, the rev limiters and the governer. Little things. Otherwise I would primarily use TunerCat to download the tune from the car, open it up with TunerPro to work with it, save it, then open it back up with TunerCat and upload it back to the car.

I still don't know much at all about tuning, it's like Latin to me, but just a quick rundown of what was involved when I was playing with it.

Here's the most up to date version of the XDF that Robert Saar put together for using on TunerPro as well. This way you can also adjust for larger injectors with OBD 1.5.

I'm still playing around with my 1.5 tune every now and then. I haven't figured out how to get live data working on TunerPro RT though...
