If you have DHP then there is no reason to do this option since you have tuning hardware, for those who had nothing or had aldl cables and were just scanning then this is huge. I still think moving to OBDII and running with a MAF setup is a much nicer and easier way to tune but that's just my opinion.

And what do you mean SFI 3x00 tuning Woody? that's been available since DHP unlocked the 96 Beretta bin.

I'm a total noob when it comes to electrical/computer witchcraft. In short, can this work with the 4 cylinder model for obd 1.5? I don't know how to decipher the "powertrain control modules" stuff.

IIRC the 4 cylinders did not have this type of ECU, they were just like the quads and still had a removable chip.

Bottom line though this tuning is for "GM 93-95 V6 (engine codes L32 and L82)" It's not listed as supporting any 4 cylinder engine codes.

ZOMG, i feel special? :D

can't say i'll take all of the credit though.... i can't make windows programs worth a damn, but i sure can chew through some 68HC11 assembly like i get paid to do so.

Going to beat Robert Saar at this post...

Tunercat now has an option as well

Updated first post too!

in particular, if you already have an ALDL cable and don't want to be tied up with so much tunercat stuff(for whatever reasons you may have):

http://www.tunercat.com/winflash_desc/w ... _desc.html

it looks like you can get away with only Winflash(for $20 at that, including 94-95 LT1 capability), then use tunerpro + the XDF file i've posted on 60V6 and you'll be set for any 94-95 3100(except for the goofy A-body deal)/3.4RWD application. 93s would require a different XDF, something i didn't feel like building after the many hours i put into making the 94-95 stuff as accurate and complete as it is.

so this only lets me do the tuning myself? has anyone been able to upload any files of tunes already done? My budy has all the cables and chip reading hardware and we were going to tackle this after he got back from manitoba after the 20th,

you could run someone else's calibration.... not that i would recommend it. everybody has their own preferences as to what they like.

I just started playing with the TunerCat kit on mine, and there are a lot of options to go through!

I'm taking my time playing with it though, as I've never tuned anything before. It is nice however that you can adjust the fuel cut off so it's away from the factory 108. You can also remove the P/N rev limiter. I'll be doing some more playing around with it today, see what all I can figure out.

There's also specs for line pressure during shifting, I figure this is a good way to stiffen up the shifts, but not confident enough to play with it yet!

those values are there but they mean nothing to the 4t60e... It's pressure is vacuum controlled. That would matter only for a 4t65e that was controlled by that ECU which I think it never was.

The torque reduction stuff if available might help because that will affect timing some during shifts.
