There must be a reason why most "factory" app use drawtrugh.

       You are right...although I have ran both setups and  IMO the suck-thru idled nicer and had a net drivability WAAAAAYz better than the counterpart blow-thru. This is obviously not a hp move (well I guess it is when tuning)...throttle response on the blow-thru is unbelievably quick and less laggy. On the suck-thru heaven forbid I have another one of those ever-so- present non-calibrated leak...headaches and heartaches
!!... the one thing I did not like with blow-thru was tuning...it was very, very difficult due to inconsistency and ultimately...very hard to repeat data on the road... *double sigh*  
What now???

All the DSM guys would agree with your switch nocutt, its safer and easier to tune.

HMMM...go ultra rich till it knocks (thank goodness for spark retard)if the draw trugh leaks due to a open BOV or poped intake pipe..or go too lean till it knocks if the air charge heats the element due to heat soak or electrnics not working well to cold/hot sudden heat cycles(dam hot wire). The only thing I see with the blow trugh is that would the unit be stucturealy stable under boost? I have seen them though...but did they last? You prob would have to recalculate the IAT and the engine coolant tables since its at a differnt location.
DSM guys use a different metering system...frequency of air I belive?

I will honestly love to run a blow-thru I am just at a standstill with how I will design the 'stepping up' of the intake pipes   And like I have stated if I am physically able to run a 4" (if) I might just be able to run 42 lb injectors and compensate with a MAF recalibrator...
The suck-thru might be the best bet though...filter and MAF and then step down to 2.5" on the comp. inlet...hmmmn...but the unresponsiveness  

Tgtu...you aren't helping...lol!! quit adding the variables my life needs to be easy...
This MAFs all have metal ends, no cavity in effect cannot be pressurized...the one problem I have seen with this MAFs is that with a bigger compressor unit they can easily be "pegged" (run out of calibration)...

Yea..I just want to see this monster scream nice and healthy.  

Well let's see how other guys ran it..have you looked at Level Tens turbo GTP?

Well we won't know till you try it right...so blow that thing hard    .

I an running mine blow-thru on my DSM. The good parts of that are, you can have a big boost leak and your car will still run fine (like blowing off a IC pipe). You can also vent the BOV to the atmosphere.

If the 3" one isnt big enough get a ZO6 MAF.

My 750 has throtle by wire...I like it. But its main purpose is for traction control limiting engine power.

LOL!!  ...sorry guys, I was actually thinking of an electronic exhaust cut-out. I don't know how well the solenoid will live up to heat...
Indeed to go Drive-by-wire will mean extra $$$, extra headaches...and run an '04 PCM...No freaking way, not worth it!!
Although I still don't have a decisive TB nor a MAF  

Reximundo ...long time...how is life? Any projects?

Got a deal on an alternator..added too




And then WCF has finished the preliminary parts for the headers...I need to be there sometime this week to drop the engine in the car that way I know how the turbi unit will sit and how WCF will run the 'Y"...I also plan on running 3"...Plan is th ekey word...
