well that sucks, i guess i'm basically stuck with DHP or HP, and by turbo map i meant, borrow someones DHp to get a map on and get it to where i can run boost at 100% safety and get everything to where i need it with just the turbo.

I guess you didn't fully read the thread... Image He has not responded to me with a final answer.

I'm about ready to stop helping with the responses I'm getting from you. I don't think you understand what it takes to properly run a turbo, or how long it will take to properly tune for it. It's not a matter of just flashing a file... You need to spend a lot of time data logging and modifying and testing to get it right.

i know this, i know how to run turbos and i know a decent amount on tuning to the point ofthe engine safeley running, what i don't know is anything about the ECU on my Z26 compatibility wise, i could safely run 5psi on it stock, but i don't really want to run it that low plus i want to go and fine tune everything so i have it at 100% not just half assed hence why i wanted to know what i needed to tune the 97 Z26 because i cant find anything on it and nothing that i ever found besides HP had compatibility.

Look at Code59 with OBD1...it's all hopped up for boost mapping.

I've modified a 97 Venture file to recognize boost, so that code 59 isn't anything too exciting.

So, hunt down or borrow a DHP, do I need the ECU swap for the DHP?

Add Jet Chips to the optional ECU programming software. The software they sell works with TunerCat VDF files and they support the 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo ECU, same as the Venture ECU I use just a different calibration and who knows the software may support the 97 Venture file as well. No real gains in that though other than seeing 3400 tables over 3100 ones.

Last email I got from him.
Jonathan you are correct the 14005 will work for your Monte Carlo.

Thank you,
