Update on the project!

new non-leaking Heater core is installed and plumbed in

Big thanks to woody90gtz as he sent me a new tune based off his 1991, car runs and drives without stalling. After HOURS AND HOURS of troubleshooting my work to find nothing wrong it's awesome to have a VERY smooth very OEM feeling car. That is until you give it the throttle!

Now that the car seems to be running perfectly the last step of this is Nitrous, anyone that would like to comment on this feel free. I haven't looked too much into this other than I believe a wet system will be best with 35-50 shot max. Going to install a wide band o2 take it to a dyno and be sure my mix is correct before damaging anything. Colder plugs will be required.

again a BIG thanks to woody for saving this project !

Colder plugs are not required unless your going to a 100+... 50 is nothing and can be run on a fully stock setup.

And I'm a bit surprised that Eric's tune corrected your problem over the WOT-Tech tune... Not too common for WOT-Tech to get something wrong like that.

Do you still have the chip?? I'd be curious to see if Eric could read it and compare to what he sent you to find out what was different.

Glad you got the memcal situated! Nothing more aggravating with a swap like this than something eletrical related.

I do still have the chip, don't mind sending it along if he wants to, honestly would like to smash it into tiny pieces then set it on fire

Guess all that's required on the nitrous kit is to order the parts.

Yeah, I can read it and check it in TunerPro with the "difference checker" or whatever it's called. I bought my tune "ready-to-go" from a well respected member and was unhappy with it. That's when I bought the Autoprom and tweaked it on my own. As I started correcting it I was amazed at how far off the VE table was.

$411 on that site so how is 600 locally a good deal?

The solenoid system looks pretty good but yes you NEED a WOT switch unless you want to fight with a momentary switch all the time which is a pain and risky.

That system is very similar to what I'm running... mine is just Holley NOS brand.

Just remember ALL the Camaros AND about 75% of the LS engines are made in Canada.

But the CDN Dollar is taking a beating right now. Down to about .89 US!

(Hmmm! Would I ever like to hi-jack a truck full of LS-3's heading out of St Catharines, Ontario, about 35 miles from where I live!)

my newly installed trans mount is working lovely, but it appears my car will not pass our inspection. Have to replace a rear wheel bearing.

After this is complete, I shall be ordering the kit

UPDATE: Project get to Mississippi
With Beretta Fest approaching, its time to get this crapbox working for a long drive!

1. Fix throttle body coolant leak - going to get the nipples on the pipe plugged. Been dripping for a while now its really annoying.
2. speedometer fix - not sure if its the coolant leaking on the sensor causing an issue. hopefully that's all it is. otherwise swapping the transmission.
3. put the interior back together, ECU has been hanging on the passenger side for about 4 years due to issues. thankfully all that's repaired now! (woody is still the man)
4. make sure all the wiring is secure, out of the way of important items like rotating parts.
5. AC repair, all new parts hoping its something easy! This will be done by a professional
6. New rims and tires, have a like new (just professionally painted) set of 5 spoke z24 wheels with new rubber.

NOS - not sure i need it for this trip, may be hard to explain taking it over the boarder.

Took it out of the corner of my garage, turned the key and it sounded lovely!

They didn't hassle me when I went to Michigan via Canada... In and out in a day and never looked in the trunk. It shouldn't be hard to explain since it's only and oxygenater... it's not flammable and if properly marked I believe it's legal to transport... You just can't have the system enabled and the bottle open that I know of.
