Will the 2.2 clutch be able to take the TQ of the 3.4? I would also think the turbo would be too much for it. You are going to need a better than stock clutch anyway with the turbo.

Well here is what I plan.  I plan on getting a 282. And I was wondering if i get a stage 3 cluth for the 2.2 tranny will the clutch transform over or will i need to buy a different clutch for the 282. I hear the tranny will be able to hold the 2.2 tranny but i cant be stupid with it. But like i said I dont plan on keeping it. I just want to get the engine in and then get it started then pull it out and do a tranny swap. Which by the way I cant find **** online for a 282.

I'm no help on this one. All I can say is that there must be other cars with that tranny(sorry). If I get the time I'll see if I can come up with something. Did a Google search. Found info, but no place to buy so far. Wikipedia said that it's a Muncie 282, there was other info also.

Man, a long time ago I looked into CV's. I wish that I saved that site, This guy would build them for cars with 500hp and I think more. Not much help, I know. On the flywheel, one with less weight will need a starter with more power. Sure that you know that, just don't want you to rush into it. I had some trouble finding one when I was looking.

Yea really didn't know that.
I have been looking for a clutch and a flywheel now for ever. AND I still don't have that damn AC pully on yet. But I cleaned the garage out. Looks really good now.

I may be able to help after I get all of this insurance crap out of the way. That stuff is harder to work through than looking for all the parts I needed! The car is gone and I'm still up to my neck in it. Well a clean place to work helps alot. Man, I've been there too may times.

You need to be creative how to mount that 4DFF transmission, since the case doesn't have the mounting points our cars use. I can dig up you some quad minivan pics, they may show how it's mounted there.
I just swapped internals from my new 4DFF to the old case
