I put some of that foil/rubber/tar stuff on my
68 Camaro roof.
It didn't stay up when the car was in the sun
and the roof got warm.
If you put the same stuff on your roof, it might
not stay up. Just a thought.

Every time I see that stuff used I only think of how much it weighs.... Do you have an idea of how much weight you added with that?

His doesn't have dynamat printed on it.
Neither did mine although it was sold as sound deadening insulation material.
When I saw his, I thought of mine and decided to caution him.
This is what I used.

Does it have more weight than the stock fiber fill stuff?

The rubber coating I used was a spray style and feels like rubber. The heat/sound barrier stuff was from Eastwood.

With the amount of weight added can't be too much since the new carpet came with the sound barrier, just wasn't what I wanted. I have read a lot of this stuff and seems to work. 0.75LB SQ foot

Looking for parts for the 3rd brake light for the spoiler. Looking at LED. I read a few guys ordering some and never getting them so pass on that.

Yeah the LED 3rd brake lights are a dead end. Sad how all that worked out.

Where did you get the carpet from? Mine is too stained to save thanks to the last owner.

I don't think it will be to tough to make something work. Ill order something and see how it looks and show ya guys. As for the carpet. Money, you know I have been working on this project for 10 years now lol. I don't know where I got it, but it was not formed and I will never attempt that again.

Oops, yeah too long ago to remember. Got a link somewhere in my huge list of favorites that has carpet made just for our cars. Just going to take some time to find it. Too many irons in the fire as I'm you have to.

Figured it would be about that easy to make one ;) lol good job.

I have to mod my Indy before next year because one bulb is picky and none of the housings I have are 100% perfect.

Just thought I should post an update. I got most of my parts on. Still need to add on the rear sway bar. I put in a AEM Wideband, but after looking at my exhaust I realized a new one was need. I'm currently work on that. I did look into buying a MegaSquirt, but I don't have the funds for that. I will stick with the DHP PT. I have learned some with it, but still very new at it. I have been checking out 60degreev6.com, but noticed most of the info I wanted was in the archives. I was able to wire the WB into the tuner and get some readings.
