Yes I am gonna make it like stock. Complete frame, hinges and latch. No more pins!
The TQ strut I wanna use is similar to the one on the 4t60 i think. It will be on the front side attached to the cradle.

Cool, glad to hear it. I'm not a big fan of hood pins. To me they are like cheap toggle switches when someone is too lazy to fix the problem. I know sometimes they are needed, but I've seen too many people put them on a stock hood that doesn't need them(classic cars). You sure that the hood will stay on the frame with just fiberglass?
That TQ strut will just bolt up?

I have not tried to set it in yet. I will get detailed pix of the install tho.
You addy, is it ave? Street? Road? I will be getting this out to you by Saturday at the latest.
As far as the hood goes, I will get detailed pix of that too. I plan to use aluminum rivets and a 3M adhesive you turned me onto.

I say your car is going to be pretty quick. Sure would hate to hear that the hood came off, but it sounds like you got it taken care of. My street is just that, a street. No need to put anything else. Saturday? That would be great. I think that 3M stuff would be better than fiberglass. Sometimes it just doesn't attach well to other kinds of fiberglass. A hood that has a frame molded into in would be better. My guess is that you will have to ruff the hood some and clean the areas to get even the 3M stuff to hold. I'm not sure how or what to use to do that. Ruffing it could be a bad idea if there is no way to clean it well.

LOL I am wondering what to get her for Valentine's Day....
Maybe some Headers!
I used FUSOR101EZ to glue the fiberglass Hood to the Metal Stock Frame. I removed the top stock skin 1st.
I will get more detailed after I have had a chance to resize pix and write a short "What I did".
I forgot to weigh the stock hood before I took it apart.
This one weighs in at 43lbs

Didnt buy enough pipe for the headers I wanted. So I opted for the "Stock" look.
Looks stock to me lol.
Now its time to start on the 3" Downpipe. I just hope there will be enuff room for the wastegate.
But I hear "Wastegates are for Pussies"!
Guess we will have to see if I am!

You have what? Talk about Beretta gold! Hold on to that stuff. Well, it might be worth more if the car was restored and stock. With what your doing the car will be much more fun though.

Back in the Garage. Since 10-15-10
Restore time. Gonna strip it down to parts n pieces. I have a RWD convertion in mind, it includel the use of the EVO rear axle/diff. Thats just a thought at the moment though. Motor rebuild with forged pistons are in the works.
MpB, did you see what the Rare Rettas went for at the Barrett-Jackson Auction? I'm sure most of us have that in the ones we drive. :P
