Centerforce clutches

Post by 1990BerettaGTZ2.3L »

So I'm taking out a loan for a gtz and the clutch is fried I'm trying to find a good clutch do the car but am having trouble picking one I'm looking at the centerforce clutches on jegs website, I can't decide from a dual friction or a dfx clutch and I have no idea the diameter, he used the factory flywheel in the car and put a w-41 3.94 trans in her need to know what's best and diameter I need and the spline she's a 90 gtz

Never tried a Centerforce. And I dont remember off the top of my head, but mine is apart right now so I can get you measurements and a spline count if you need. I got a SPEC 2+ from specclutch.com. But I found this website later on that would have been a little cheaper. Here's a link to a 2+ for you.

I had a centerforce in my old GT way back when... The conclusion is that it's nothing special.

The ClutchMasters FX300 in my current GT is great.

Quad's do have different flywheels than the V6's do.

And I will second Cliff's nomination for the Clutchmasters unit.

The clutch for v6/quad is the same part number. I have always heard Clutchmasters are good, but they are big money too.

SPEC = Star Performance Engineered Clutches. I have them in my Beretta and my Camaro and like them both.

Is this car mostly stock? You may be able to get away with a stock clutch and save some money.

after market excedy, fantastic smooth clutch put about 100,000 miles of hard driving in my old 2.2 5 speed before the transmission broke. I replaced it with another of the exact same brand when put in a new trans.

Reason I ask for the diameter is because it has 2 different sizes on jegs it has the 8.5" and the 9.125" I might end up goin with a fidanza lightweight flywheel to might as well while its out, who makes w41 chips cause this car is still carry its factory tuned settings with those cams I'm sure she's begging for free'd up power
