It's all in the ECU and you will need an OBD-2 tuner program to disable them, but why?

How are you planning on getting more than one cam in there?

probably not, maybe if i get the time and money for everything to do it. i just repainted it today, if you guys want pics ill go take some when it dries and post them up, I'm going to be out in Arkansas for a week to work and when i come back and get paid i'll be doing turbo and exhaust then onto the ECU and after that ill finish interior, the rear is gutted and i redid the dash in black all accents and bezels are red, carpet is red now, will be swapping steering wheel adding a tacho and a boost gauge, MIGHT go and add a Nitrous system pushing like a 75 or 100 shot after i build the engine up some more.

I'm going to guess and say the color combination, and the list of "mods" you want to do. They sound very out of order, especially trying to build an engine before you have any way of modifying the ECU... That's something you need to figure out first since it just wont run until you do that.

i wasn't posting them in order i was just kinda throwing them all up in general, the only mod i'm doing before ECU is turbo cause of my 9:1 compression i should be pretty safe for some decent boost without any detonation, and i don't see whats wrong with red and black lol, the interior was kinda messed up when i got the car and i don't have tons of money to shell out for a interior redo so i made with what i had and made it look allot cleaner than the original faded cobalt blue interior that i hated.

I'll just say do not install a turbo without tuning it and expect it to run right. Stock ECU calibration can't even recognize boost so your fueling will be WAY wrong and you will damage a motor.

I've installed a turbo on a friends car running 10 psi on a stock compression of 10: and he had no problems from install to when he finally got a tune done for it, so 9:1 should be able to handle a low boost setup until i can get a DHP or anything else that would work it, this thread changed into a different topic so im going to keep ECu and boost talk on my ECU thread where you are helping me with that.

Not to hijack a thread, but this is on the same topic, so it seemed appropriate. I recently got a 94 z and the po said there's a bypass for the speed governor. Is that even possible to choose whether its there or not via toggle?

there is no bypass other than disconnecting the speed sensor but then that messes up the shifting of the transmission.

Why do you need to go faster than 109 anyways? Leave it alone stay alive!

And don't tell me for drag racing... I'm running 12's and still haven't hit 109 yet... I'm at 107 top speed.
