pc gaming advice....

Post by themadness »

ok bear with me.....i like first person shooters like call of duty, ghost recon, etc. i have played on friends consoles but dont have the cash to dish out for the toys they have. can you guys recommend some games i might can download or pick up cheap from wally world that offers a similar experience. ideally i would like to plug in a controller, load the game and play away on my laptop. maybe even hook my laptop to my tv and play that way......

help an old, broke fart out?

Counter Strike. Get it from Steam. Forget the controller. Mouse and keyboard is superior.

Game Producer...

http://store.steampowered.com/

Download STEAM, setup account and purchase Counter Strike... it's cheap on there. It downloads instantly and you can play it, as well as install it on any other PC. I have all my Half life stuff through them.

Steam is a digital game delivery service run by the Valve Corporation. They make some great games, and they have some awesome sales.

If you're looking for cheap, I suggest checking out the Humble Bundle website as well. Plus you get to pick a great charity for your money to go to. Most of the games on there install through either Steam or Origin, or both. Origin is Electronic Arts digital game delivery service.

Be aware of system requirements before making any purchases.

What's the specs on your PC? That will help a lot in making recommendations.

If you don't know, then giving us the complete model name would narrow it down enough to figure it out.
