I don't know what to do I hit the curb the other day an broke both the lower engine mount and the upper one on the passenger side the lower is replaced and I have the 2803 bushing for the top my problem is I cannot find the u shaped rubber piece that goes around the metal housing above the 2803 the only thing I have found is a kit on ebay Eagle #0067 it has tranny mnt ,strut mnt and the 2803h then there is a part with the number 2803K I am attaching a picture for all to look at If this is not the right part Does anybody on here have a mount GM P/N 22146738 or that upper rubber piece with the 2 tabs on each side Or better yet please tell me that I don't need it it just looks like a spacer to me it does not look like it is load baring Let me know what u have I need it yesterday my car is at the dealership and I am sick of driving this taurus I MISS My beretta Thanks and have a wonderful night

I guess nobody here has one lying around.
My educated guess is that you need it when the engine twists as you accelerate. There is no upper torque strut on this engine. If you don't have one, you may get a clunk when you hit the gas hard.
If you have nothing inside there, you could get metal on metal contact. If they can stuff the rubber back in and it doesn't fall out you may be able to get away without replacing it. For a temporary fix, maybe they can make a rubber snubber or stuffing out of heater hose stuffed with fuel line hose.
Again, it has to be able to stay inside the housing.
Another thing to try is to cut a tire apart and cut a slab of rubber from the sidewall and fashion it to form that piece.
You can try car-part.com, a website for junk yard sourcing and request a used upper engine mount. The 2803 might be bad but that rubber surround might still be good.
