LED's in your headlight/wiper switches for 91+

Post by CorvetteBeretta »

I'm sure its been done but if not (or forgotten) here is what I did.

-Remove cluster cover
-Remove bulb from switch
-Remove bulb from housing (I used tweezers)

This is the donor bulb

-Remove donor bulb

-Carefully cut the ends off OEM bulb(careful they will go flying)
-Attach the OEM bulb leads to the ends of the new bulb (I bent the ends like hooks and attached them then crimped them with the tweezers)
-Insert the new bulb into the OEM socket
-Use tweezers to wrap the leads around bulb socket

final product **make sure you test it before fully reinstalling if not working 180 the bulb housing**

I did the same thing with these. I split & stripped the leads on the LED just before the bottom of the socket and twisted them in like the stock bulb.

There are so many plug and play 194 replacement LED lights available all over the place, why would you mess with making them?

NOOB Question! No Flaming!!

These are not 194 they are a t3 bulb, much smaller. Im sure you could use most mini leds for this I just had left overs so I wanted to use them.
