The W26 option was used in 1992 to basically use up left over parts, but it was a pretty decent package.

GTU/Indy wheels, the Indy/GTU suspension bits, and a 3.1 V6.

They were available in both automatic and 5-speed versions and only came in white, black and ?

They all had teal painted inserts on the wheels.

They also were pretty well optioned. Windows, doors, trunk release etc.

It was basically an expanded GT option. Rear spoiler, body painted mirrors and a full gauge cluster.

All of them had grey interiors.

FWIW

Wrong wheels, but now that I think about it they did come in teal.

Check the option printout in the trunk on the spare tire cover if it is still there.

It will say W-26.

Other than that it just appears to be a GT (in rather bad shape!)

Not a whole lot there of any real value.

if you wait any longer on the engine rebuild there may not be any car left to put it in.

That car is rusted really badly like unsafe rusted... He's saying if you want any longer there won't be anything left.

W26 cars were also rare in that they had the FE7 front sway-bar: These were the only V-6 Berettas that could have the FE7 AND a manual tranny besides the Indys themselves (GTZs were the only other Berettas to receive FE7 suspensions, and they were equipped with EITHER the Quad/5-speeed drivetrain OR the V-6 and an auto tranny). If your spare tire-cover and associated RPO code list is gone or the label is illegible, you can log in to Compnine's website, pay them and HOPE that they have your VIN in the database... Or, you can look at the front sway-bar: If it is bolted to the lower control arms, it is NOT an FE7, if it attaches to the struts directly with short ball-ended links, you have the FE7 and most certainly it is a W26 car... I won't hate on your car, but it does look pretty bad though. :pardon:

Michigan weather sucks. Back in 1998 i noticed rust under the rocker panels. Every year since, i used sandpaper and
later wire brushes on power drills to remove rust. Then i would spray primer.

Is that the car you are going to put the Backyard "Butchered" 3.1 into?

My God! What a waste of time and money on a car that is only worth scrap value, and an engine that will be questionable at best.

Jon is right! That thing is in probably a death trap and unsafe to even consider driving.

It's a rusty rotted GT. Sorry for your luck!

Scrap it and cut your losses!!

that's pretty rusted in some crucial area's on the outside..can't be any better underneath...i wouldn't even waste my time doing anything but stripping the good parts off it and finding something decent..
