Space saver can openers obsolete
Re: Space saver can openers obsolete
I remember those spouts. I loved that sound of jamming the spout into the can.
But I'm weird, I like the smell of Sta-Bil too.
You'd set that spout/can up on the engine and let it drain while you did other things.
You can't do that with the plastic bottles. Then, I'd take the can and open the whole top
with the can opener and you'd have a nice container to put loose bolts and screws into.
I'd bet I still have one or two of those cans with hose clamps or other extra parts stored in it.
I have a couple tuna cans I keep on my work bench to hold small parts as I disassemble
something. Hole in your tailpipe? Cut the ends out of a can and cut up the side, wrap
around the pipe and secure with hose clamps. Nice temporary repair.
I still buy a lot of canned vegetables and tuna that I need to open with an opener.
But yes, a lot of cans are coming with pull tops.
