what does the black sensor in my 96 base's air box do? is it a temp sensor or a airflow sensor? Thanks!

black sensor
It is the IAT (inlet air temp). It takes both the air temp and barometric pressure.

Well... if your car is a v6 depending what "black sensor" you're talking about it could be the MAF too.
