Just thought that there are a couple of topics on this so maybe this will simplify things a little/ add a point of referance for other owners.  Also this is the first poll i've ever made so...

I have a K&N filter in the GT and it works out ok. It's not like you can tell a difference, but it's nice to not have to worry about a filter every few months. I have a Pureone filter in the Z26, and I guess it does it's job, because I can see dirt collecting in it. In a stock intake setup, what airfilter you use isn't really going to affect much.

I'm running a cheapie cone from the autozone on pvc and it works pretty well in my '93 base 3.1.  It's still in the engine bay though until i fab a full intake.

I am a K&N fan.  I like the makeup/design and maintenance of them.  I voted custom because I do seem to think that totally custom and putting a few more hours of work [thought hopefully] will beat any bolt on setup.  Get as much cold air as possible.

I'm one to talk!

In the desert I find nothing works as long or better than a Hastings filter.

I have a stage 4 Spectre red cone filter and it's doing amazingly good for a cheap one.
