i have the 94 base beretta and when i put my new radio in it worked for a while but then i think something must have blown, the fuses were all still good, but my car dings at me like i have my door open all the time, and my clock doesn't work nor does my ABS or any of the "courtesy lights" so as of now i have the fuse in slot 11 pulled to stop the dinging. any ideas as to what happened?
oh and the aftermarket radio wont turn on anymore so i had to put the stock one back in

I bet your courtesy module is shot or one of the wires is grounding out.

Possibly the dimmer wire shorted to ground. That's the only thing I can think of that would be stereo-related, and cause the display to not work on the stock radio.

that makes sense, because when i put the new deck in i didnt know what to do with the wire on the harness labeled dimmer because pioneer decks dont dim at all, where is that wire? or how can i fix it?

yesterday the cassette player itself stopped working (probably because thats all i ever used for like 5 months) so now my car has no stereo at all, its really depressing. so i am hoping that i can figure this whole thing out pretty soon

I believe dimmer is Brown, but I could be wrong... anyway, figure out what it is. Then use an ohmmeter to see if there's any resistance between the dimmer wire and ground. If you get a reading, then that wire is shorted out somewhere. You could try to find the break in the wire, but it's usually easier to replace the entire run.
