Abs brake light- need help

Hello,
Everything was running fine this morning.  This afternoon, I started the car and the ABS indicator clicked as normal however, the ABS the light stayed on.    Any idea what it could be??  The volt meter is running close to the red line near the 8 but it isn't in the red.   I just put a new battery 2 weeks ago.  Do you think it's a charging system problem or a brake problem??
I have 160,000 on my Z26.  Please help.  Thanks.

have your alternator tested, while you there, have them test your battery too, doesn't hurt
8 volts just too low

More than likely a wheel speed sensor if the ABS light is on. Take it in some where and have it scaned

I'd say the alt is dying! And this is a  good indicator. doubt it's a brake problem.

Yep, it was the alternator.   Luckily, the battery was new so, it charged right up.    Thanks for the help!
