Went snow-boggin today with my girlfriend, her bro, his gf and my dog. She got a good video and I put it on facebook, hopefully the link works for everyone:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php ... 228&ref=nf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We also got a ton of pics. His truck is a '06 5.6L Titan with a lift and a ton of money dumped in it. He pulled my ass out when I got really buried.

Looks like fun. I'm guessing by a lift you mean a leveling kit?

Well I helped him put in the coilovers and they lifted the front a couple inches, and I also helped him put a 1" block on the leafs, which were supposed to be lift springs anyway. So I don't know how much taller than stock it is, but I do know it's a lot higher than my truck.

The plastic lower valence under the bumper had no problems, and that was really heavy snow.

I'm pretty sure I figured out the main reason I got stuck, too. The Z71 skid plates for the radiator, front diff & transfer case acted like snowboards to glide the body right on top of the snow - off the wheels. Off Road package my ass!

Um, Skid plates are the best part of any off-road package. I would much rather be lifted up in the snow rather than have a log/rock put a hole in my dif!!!

Agreed. I just thought it was ironic it was part of the off-road package that got me stuck off road.

I took a look at the steering linkage tonight because it wanders. If definitely needs a pitman arm! It's hard to tell whether it needs an idler or not, but the pitman is shot. Looks like a real pain in the ass the get to also.

The snow has been thawing and turning everything to mud, so I got a couple quick pics after work today. Thinking about going out this weekend and really getting dirty!

Went to a pig roast/mud pit this weekend with my gf's brother and a friend. First time I've taken the POS in an actual mud pit, and it was a lot of fun. Her brother brought his Nissan and a friend brought his lifted 90 Z71. I was in 4HI and next time I'll give low a shot.

Here's a video of mine:

Nick's Nismo:

Brett's Z71

Brett snapped a CV because he has pretty nasty angles. But he was the only one to get through the deep part without getting stuck. I didnt even attempt it since I'm stock height with half bald 33s... We never actually got any pork because we were busy changing his axle (which was a pain in the @$$ in the mud on a muddy truck with a suspension lift).

There were a couple guys that bought beaters just to kill them in the pit. This was one of them...blew the trans and then got flattened. Kinda like a derby for trucks I guess?

Your truck moved out really well. As well as it sounds like that guys got a Vett engine in that thing sure does have some crazy exaust. I wish i would have been around when you started with your truck a nice 1" body lift in those and you can get 36's on them without rub brings your ground clearance up rahter then the guy with the what 6" suspension lift that broke the CV I mean it really depens on what your going to do with your truck. I helped one of my childhood friends build his 76 Chevy and I mean we built it from the ground up the first engine had a bad oil pump and fried it so they went with a 383 stroker in it. Gas milage is out of the question but of course they are much more fun that way.

Cliff called me this weekend about an Edelbrock MPFI conversion for my truck with E-Tec 200cc aluminum heads for cheap. So if I wanted to I could throw the E-Tec heads on the Camaro, the Camaro's Vortec heads on the truck, MPFI on the truck with a decent cam and probably gain 30hp on the Camaro and close to 100hp on the truck.

Hmm...

You think it would only be 30HP on the camaro? Those heads flow like 20% better than stock L31 heads.

I'd need a healthier cam to take advantage of it though. My combo now is optimized pretty well.

I did a bunch of googling yesterday and found that while most people like the E-Tec 170s, there weren't too many impressed with the 200s. Some made the same swap I would be: stock Vortec to Etec 200 and said they're lazy down low on the street, which means the runners dont have the air velocity they should. Vortecs make awesome torque and good top end. I'm sure the top end is better with the 200s, but...I could go back to my original plan of AFR Eliminator 195s and have better low end and top end. So I think that's what I'll do. Somehow AFR's 195s put out flow numbers like a 220cc with the velocity of a 170cc. It's nuts.

And by dumb luck I just see that they have released a Vortec-style head! Now I need to do some reading on these...
