That is friggin' awesome Eric.
I am looking forward to competing in the Stock V6 Class. You predicted 16.4's? I ran a 16.6 in Detroit...

There have been a couple of questions about the eligibility of other cars in the race program, especially Corsicas and J-Bodies.

Just to be perfectly clear: The classes as outlined are for Berettas ONLY!

As always, members with non-Beretta vehicles are welcome to come, race and participate, but will not be eligible for these race trophies.

Otherwise it would become impossible to organize, the arguments would be enough to ruin a good mood, and I'm NEVER in a good mood to begin with.

16.4 -16.6 is about average for an auto, but I'm not sure that will be enough to win the class.

That said if someone hands me a 15.8 timeslip, I'm going to be having a very hard look at the car.

More I think about it, the more I think I am going to just sit back and watch. Not going to be winning anything with my Z anyways! lol

Providing I even get to Chicago in time. Leaving very early Friday morning to get there, but who knows.

:D

Even if your engine does have a lot of miles, that's a lot of weight reduction I saw under your carpet!

It's fun to run at least once down the strip just for the rush of it. Even if you know your not going to win anything.

I still have no idea what to expect from my car.

You can take mine anytime you want Ace!

$6,500 for the first pass, all the rest are free, and you get to keep the car!

If they allow passengers I would take you for a run LOL, sorry with how much is done to it, I just can't let anyone spray down a strip, I would rather take the responsibility of breaking it. ;)

I'm most likely running... just to practice my launching. I know I'm not going to win lol

Eric one other question... Someone on bstuff said they already checked but I just wanted to be sure on this one.

Do they require a fire jacket when nitrous is in use?

And is a Snell M2000 Helmet up to spec?

I ask because at Lebanon last year they told me I needed the jacket to use the nitrous, and that last year was my last year for that helmet, which I think is not true.

I'll ask.

I just checked my 2010 NHRA Rule Book and Snell M2000 expires in 2014

Doesn't say anything about a fire jacket with nitrous, but some tracks have their own rules.

Fired off an e-mail to the track. See what they say.

Oh hell no, I wouldn't even WANT to be spraying it! Just having the power of the engine itself would be enough for me! LOL
