Neon Rear Disc Brake Upgrade.

Want some new struts? What brand springs to buy? How much camber to run? What brake pads? What's the best setup for your situation....

this picture looks really close to the backing plate from the 300 M im going to get some pictures next time i go to the garage, my dad was scraping the car so it cost me nothing to take them off so if they are usable really isnt a big deal i can find something else. the price was right.

so you use the beretta hub.. so if i was using the 300 M backing plates could i use a neon rotor ? the 300M uses shoes style ebrake as well and looks really similar to the photo above..

Eh, that's really just a dust shield. I wouldn't call it a backing plate.

i posted a question about Chrysler 300 M rear brakes.. well i got a few photos of them, they are very close i think but maybe not the exact same. i did measure the rotor too but i forget what it was now LOL 10" 5/8's maybe.. although you would need to use the neon rotor so it fits the beretta wheel bearing/hub. if the rotor were the same size diameter it might work with these backing plates...

anyways heres a few photos... the quality isnt the best my phone's flash does weird things since i flashed android 2.2 onto it, i think theres a bug fix for the flash but anyways here they are....

That is so similar to the neon setup it will be exactly the same as the neon if you decide to use the neon rotor and you would have to use the neon caliper as well due o thickness changes.

The only gain I can see between the two if you did choose to use the full 300M setup and re-drill it would be the thickness is 0.47" on the 300M and the Neon is 0.36" They are the same diameter... Therefore the caliper and pads are also different to fit the thicker rotor... but effectively the same thing.

The 300M 01' and 95-99 share the same E-brake parts so it's probably safe to say the bracket is identical to the Neon as well as the backing plate...

And Woody it's a backing plate/dust shield... they are the same thing, they support and hold the parking brake or braking system of a drum setup and seal the elements out of the drum setup.

Those dont look like a 7/16 banjo either, so they wont fit the rear calipers.

I added the correct line numbers to the start of this thread. Lines you listed won't work at all.

I wish there was a way to convert our rears to 5x114.3/115. That way they'd be matching if the fronts we're upgraded to n body stuff. Truthfully I hate dual-boltpattern wheels, and the options are endless with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. ESPECIALLY when it comes to offsets

To be honest, there may be enough material on the bearing to do the other pattern. But I'm not positive.

Great looking car. I like the rear spoiler delete. My Beretta doesn't have the rear sway bar, can you tell me about it?
