I have an aftermarket Metra adapter with climate control. If you have an EQ radio i will swap for it. If you want to buy it $20

is that hacked up to made ot fit or specifically made to convert for a better job. Not to be rude but it looks liek someone jsut cut a whole in the orig set up and slid in an adapter plate.

Thats a Metra radio adapter for L body. Its used and comes with climate control and is ready to install. It sticks out a little more to clear aftermarket radio's.

You are right though...when you install a radio it does make the dash look hacked. I like the look of the original stereo.

"i don't know"

You asked in the first post. "HOW does one put in another radio, after market? The face plate to the two units is all one pc!??"

This problen was addressed in the late 1980's early 1990's. I responded with the Metra adapter and even posted a photo. There was another company that made them as well which pretty much was the exact item. They have to stuck out slightly to work with some aftermarket specifically CD transport models.

What don't you know?

I think I may just leave the orig unit in and mount a new unit out of site and the boy can use a remote to use it. That way the stock look is stil there.
