Nice to hear from you Norm. It's been so long since you posted an update here that I was starting to wonder what happened to you. I see you are still doing original and effective mods. Good work!

Quote (bonecrrusher @ Dec. 12 2004,16:08)hah! I like the underbelly cover, and nice seein that mount being used.
I bought mine today, hopefully it will help some of the clunking dropping from 5th to 3rd on the highway.  I also wont waste money paying to have it installed now that I bought myself a jack/jack stand set

Rib, it took less than an hour from start to finish, including washing my hands afterward.

Haha, can you give me a headstart by telling me what MM sockets were needed.  I know everything from the front end is 10, 13, 15, 18 etc from the suspension work, but didnt touch the mount before.

Where are you living now Ribz? If it's convenient for me I might be persuaded to come over and help you do it. It's really simple. It'll take like 5 minutes, seriousely. (as long as it fits just like the stocker)

But you have to promise to take me for a ride in that Z when the snow melts this spring.

I am not worried, I'll be able to do it pretty easily myself.   For the record I have been living back in NJ since June.   BUT I am coming up to Detroit with my girlfreind Lindsay Jan 14th to go to the autoshow.  I am bringing the Gt since its cruise control wins out over the Saabs heated seats.  The Z isnt going 1200miles round trip in winter for obvious reasons.  Thanks for the offer though.   If you want to hit us up at the show, Geoff is going to be there with the crew on the 15th.

Rib, you have that problem too!  I spend more time fumbling for sockets and wrenches.  Sorry but when the new clutch went in they changed one of the bolts.  I do remember using allot of SAE.

I had a run in with a Mitsu GS-T in the 20F degree tempatures.  Forced induction was loving the air!

From a roll at highway speeds I would pounce on him and then he'd roll on by at a good clip as we rolled thorough 120+.  Found out he had a bigger turbo which might explain the lack of torque but the top end was pretty impressive.  Says he should trap in the 1/4 mile 112-114...like Vette or Viper territory.  I did see a GS-X run at the dragstrip to a 12.9 @ 109 a few years ago.  I think the GS-T was only front wheel drive.

Well this thread might be finished.  I finally drove the Beretta to work after enjoying my '05 GTO since taking delivery in April.  I had the wheels off the GTO to flip the tires on the wheels to even out the wear of road course driving.  I picked the wheels up on the way to work and they were in the back seat of the Beretta when I went to leave work that evening the Beretta was gone.  Stolen from work on Monday 9/12 from Brookpark area just south of Cleveland.

The GTO wheels were facing down in the back seat in plastic bags so I have an '05 GTO sitting in my garage on jack stands.  I ordered new wheels for it.  The stock wheels has Toyo T1-S without center caps.  So if any GTO owners find someone selling stock wheels cheap w/o center caps there will be a reward.

I just had liability on it as it had 240,000 miles and was 18 years old.  Though I could have paid more insurance on it, the cost was not worth it.  Everything was replacable and in the end I would have just paid(probably more) to replace it with insurance premium.  I will not be buying another Beretta.    Besides it would have gone on my insurance record as having one stolen, not sure if it would have effected my premium.

If I could have insured my time that I spent on the car then I might be interested in paying more.  ...and the memories...half my life owning it since new.  ;)  But the knowledge I gained from replacing just about everything on the car help offset the loss.

This made me sick to my stomach.  A Diablo is a less unique car to steal then that Beretta.  But no one could have really known that by looking at yours.
