Let the haters hate.

As of last night 3 of the 4 subframe mounts are tacked in and the subframe is attached to the car, no jacks holding it up. Need to reinforce all the mounts and fab one more. Then build shock towers, then its on to the front of the car...

Heading out to pittsburgh for thanksgiving and family time. No beretta time :/

I'm interested as hell in this project. There's a certain white car in my sig that wants some LSx love and a 6 speed here after another year or two.

I'm planning a totally different direction, but will be keeping a close eye on this thread.

There's been progress happening but I been slacking on updates. Subframe is mounted, shock towers are started, got some wheels for it,etc.

I'll get pics up soon

When you get around to the front of the car.. could you do me a favor and take loads of pics of the lower trans mount? Never find a local car with it and I'd like to see what i need to do to fab up something similar..

Nasty welds and sick ford explorer wheels.

Exploder wheels are 15x7 +12mm offset. They clear fenders no problem so I should be able to fit some meat back there if I ever need to.(for wheelieing at the strip obviously)

Are those parallel A arms? If they are not how long is your rotational Axis from the wheel centerline and how high is your instant center from the ground?

Not parallel. There's quite a bit of camber gain throughout its travel.

Other questions will depend on ride height, and they will likely be crappy. Subframe to body distance is different than a 240 so the subframe will be lower to the ground than a 240 at comparable ride height. I have not the scales or the knowledge to do real roll center calculations, nor do I care to, it's a drift car.

I think I'm still most interested in seeing the engine rotated, but the suspension is cool!

And is that a trick question?
