Throttle Control Sensor

Throttle Control Sensor
I was told my throttle control sensor is bad giving me a bad idle. If this was the case would my engine not run at all? If so, would I have sputtering at hi rev's ?

Throttle Control Sensor
Check it with an ohm meter to make sure it is working properly.
