i had the cherry bomb version of that on my Z26 and it wasn't obnoxious or anything. but still had everything in front of that as it was stock like the resonator, cat converter and stock downpipe.

Did it sound good? As far as i know mine doesn't have a resonator, and I know the cat is gutted.

sound is a personal preference, I think glass packs sound a bit harsh, but thats my opinion.

it didn't sound bad to me but like stated above it's a personal preference. only real reason i did it was the car needed a muffler and it was cheap.

only thing i would use a glasspack for is to act like a resonator. i got one of these (see pic below) and mounted it inline where the stock resonator would go for when i need/want the car a little quieter.

most of the time i drive around without it though and just leave the cutout in it's place.

Im still lost on why people call a glasspack a muffler...:unknown: Makes no sense. Mufflers actually are meant to quiet the sound down, glasspacks are generally for tuning the sound, not to be the item to quiet the exhaust. :fool:

beats me.

when i use the OEM style muffler in conjunction with the round magnaflow thing i posted above it brings it down to an almost stock level of loudness VS the excessive loudness i have with the edelbrock muffler.

Still technically a muffler, quiets it over straight pipe a bit. And I wrote glasspack in the post.
