Fuel Return line a couple questions.
Fuel Return line a couple questions.
Alright first off I'm having some big issues with this return fuel line. I changed out the fuel pressure regulator because it was bad, after finding out that the return line was stripped to hell and was frozen on the fuel pressure regulator. So after some time finally got it off, and I ended up bending the line. The biggest question is can I find a oem line out there or do I have to search through the junk yard. Here is a pic of the the piece Im wondering if I need to keep. Also when the metal line runs to the hose is there a quick disconnect there, looks like it. Here direct site for the pic forum won't let me post a pic.

to my knowledge you can not buy replacement lines like that anywhere. your best bet is a yard or ask around on here to see if anyone has one. You can get the quick disconnect fittings at autoparts stores but then you would need the rubber line and some clamps, and then the steel line that goes in to the regulator with the large nut... so either way it would be pieced together so if you want the factory style you'll have to look around.
Re: Fuel Return line a couple questions.
Thanks I really appreciate the help, also your saying i can connect a high pressure hose(or possible 3/8 rad hose) with clamps to the connect the metal lines together and also what is the circle piece with the X on it on the return line?? Im still clueless on that?
Thanks Derrick
Thanks Derrick

Re: Fuel Return line a couple questions.
We haven't figured that out either... lol...
But yes if you use fuel grade rubber fuel lines with good fuel injection clamps and also put some sort of flare or lip on the end of the metal tube to prevent the hose from sliding off you should be good. Without that flare or bump at the end even with a clamp the lines could push off, its 43psi of pressure.
Feed line is 3/8ths the return is 5/16ths IIRC at least on a 3100 its that way.
