Last pic of my TWO cars

Post by Ribz80 »

Well Joe is coming on Saturday to pick up the GT.  Car is at the audio shop where I am having the head unit he sent me put in.  So i took the time to clean it up before het got here and take pics of it with the Vig.

It was funny going over it and cleaning and remembering a certain ding or knick that was put there by a freind TEN years ago.....thats a long time.

Between the car and what I could sell off the car it came to about $3200.

Hahahahaha.  I think you are the first person out of 1000 that has said that :P

Last week the pizza guy took an extra 5 minutes to ask me questions and oogle the Vig, he had never seen a Saab like it before.   The GT and even the Z didnt get the reactions the Vig gets.

I think the Vig gets more attention from the po-po then the Z though

I'm sure it will be a hard good bye for you and that GT, considering how long you have had it, even as much as you love the Vig now, car guys somehow always get that bond with a car they have for that long.  Hell everytime my G-Pa comes over he ALWAYS looks over the T/A completely.  Same concept.  Knowing its going to a good home is always a good thing, if it was going to some 16 year old punk who was going to beat it, I'm sure you wouldn't want to see it go nearly as bad.

This board is going to be a bit biased towards the GT.  Compare how my GT looked the day I brought it home, cuz all the Vig has are rims.  There is probably $2500 in exterior on the GT.

Both cars are great looking.  You do what you got to do in life.

Too bad you can't keep both of them...

And I like the GT better, but, like you said, I am biased. Anyway, I am glad that a Beretta enthusiast is getting the GT.

I think the Vig looks great.  It is definately a big step up.

Are those the factory Viggen rims? I really like the look of those.

No, the factory 17"  bend VERY easily.   These are 18x8.  I will likely pick up a NEW set of factory rims just to have them for the future.

On a related note I picked up a s-mbc(series manual boost controller) after hearing rave reviews from a fellow Viggen owner.  With the rest of my mods I am likely on the high 13 sec border at a fair bit over 100mph.  I have only a couple hundred in mods, thats why I love Turbos
