Anybody going to do up the Maid of the Mist, Behind The Falls, or the Pointe?

I always like to do them all but was wondering if we are going to do a group thing or not in the free time.

I'd be interested in those things, but we're planning on getting there Tuesday & doing most of our sightseeing Tuesday/Thursday (most likely with whoever else is there early & wanting to go).

Yes early Thursday would work. I see there are only two hotels where we are staying and both are considerably more expensive without the group rate.

I was thinking of going early or staying late to do these things but not if there is going to be interest in them during the BFEST time.

Looks interesting; I'll want to do one of those at least.

Meant to say Tues/Wed (and maybe early Thurs).

I wanted to get some of the stuff out of the way before bfest since there's not enough time during to do it all, and I figure that way my bfest time is open for doing whatever happens to pop up.

I figure that looking at the schedule, the open time slots are Early Thursday, after 11pm Friday (because I know I won't have enough time in the morning to do much), and after 5pm Saturday. I want to hit up museums, sightseeing (falls helicopter maybe, or the boat, and behind the falls), a casino (since I never have been to one), and nightlife. We figured it would be easier to just arrive a couple days early so that we wouldn't be trying to cram in the daytime activities (museums, sightseeing), and save the nightlife for bfest since those are easy to fit in when it's late & people are bored.

We are definitely finding a bar with karaoke going on during bfest, because that was just too funny last year.

I have a Quad sitting here that would love to run around the road course.

I'd be OK with you having a try. There are no trees!!! ROFL

I keep seeing pretty cheap flights from England to Hamilton.

Now Finland to England??

Saturday evening would be best then as none of them is open that late on Friday.

Museums usually blow. The rolfcopter is too expensive for me. The casino is open all night long.

For some reason i can't find overseas flights to Hamilton in June, do you know what airline?

Found some flights to Buffalo, but they are really expensive. Only major airports are cheap.

But, i'l see what i can do, maybe one week off or something would not be that bad

Try www.flyglobespan.ca

Lots of flights from all over UK to Hamilton YHM in June. (They call it Toronto but it's 5 miles from my home.)

Let me know if you need some help.

sorry for all this offtopic:

asylummotorsports, that globespan seems to fly to odd small airports witch are quite hard to get cause there may be like one flight there for week, so looks like it's easyer to book flight to major airport in US and then continue from there.

Some choices:

1) Plane from Helsinki -  to Chicaco\Detroit\Toronto (0-1 stops)
And then asking a lift from someone or rental car.

2) Plane from Helsinki - London Heatrow, bus to Gatwick London and plane to Hamilton Ontario

3) Plane from Helsinki to JFK (0-1 stops) and TRAIN from NYC to Niagara falls.

Takes 9 hours(!) but scenerys, confort and all is really good.

If you fly directly to Hamilton, you will find that easier.

Up to you, and if you need any more info, let me know.

FWIW there are TONS of flights to Toronto (YYZ) from UK, but they are sometimes expensive.

Maybe try Jazz. It's the cheap version of Air Canada.

That would be nice, since that is most likely the cheapest option (i'm not made of money), i need to do some planning and all to see can i make it.

I'm just wondering about getting you into Canada, if you fly into the USA. (I'm not up on my Int'l VISA Requirements.)

Last year you were very worried about that possibility.

Flying into Hamilton or Toronto, gets you HERE!

I can pick you up. Hamilton, 5 minutes away

Toronto, 45 minutes away.

Whatever works best for you I'm sure we can pick it up on this end.  Lot's of us around wherever you decide.
