Shouldnt there be

Post by MAD MARK »

Even though months away, its getting closer by the day. Shouldnt there be a schedule of what we are doing and where already? Or at least some options?

All is we know is the hotel. What about the date? Any thoughts on this?

SHHH!
The hotel is always a deep dark secret. I've never figured out why once rooms are blocked, but for some reason it is.

Is there even a local Pittsburgh Committee of any type? Or someone like a Mr. Mike who knows what the hell is going on in Pittsburgh...

You've NEVER figured it out?  That doesn't say much for you, since the answer has been said many times and is really quite obvious:  They want to encourage people to register for the event and not just show up at the hotel.

Well, actually there is some planning going on, however I haven't gotten an update out yet.  We were trying real hard to get into a big tour at a assembly plant, but apparently they don't do tours anymore since 9/11.     That is what I think of that.  ANYWAY, the committee is getting rolling again (after the new year) and we will have all the happenings coming to you guys ASAP.  I anticipate that I will have the update email out around the end of the month.  Oh, and BTW... the date was set but is not up on the web page yet...  June 22-25th are the official dates for Bfest 2006.  Thanks for the patience everyone.

How the heck do you get on the mailing list... I dont have a yahoo e-mail and I don't plan on getting one.  I don't know anything about how to register and I would like to get registered for this event.

Most of the information from the mailing list is posted to the boards, at least the important stuff is anyways. Besides, being on the MB keeps you from getting the spam emails in the group list (that doesn't happen much). Or the useless posts that go through.

You should be a part of the mailing list before the fest.  Towards the end of the planning when things really get hectic, things might only get posted to the list.  Not to mention that any polls we may do, and voting for next year's committee and location happen only on the mail list.  To get on the list just go to groups.yahoo.com and look for the Bfest list.  Once you apply to join I will approve you and you will be in (this avoids the spammers).
