unplugged female connector with no male counterpart!

Post by themadness »

can you guys tell me what this is!!!! found it unplugged this morning and have no idea what it goes to or if it is even important. could it be causing problems? its on the driver side right close to the fire wall. its jutting out off some of the flex lume that feeds into a much larger tube.

Its a fuel pump test port. Putting 12v to that will turn on your fuel pump constant. Quick way to drain a tank if you have to drop it for any reason and the pump still works.

I can't see any pics but if it is a single spade connector with a red wire it is the fuel pump bypass. It does not go to anything. It is used to diagnose the fuel pump circuit.
